We're just now coming down off the high of watching Rory on stage. We literally couldn't have asked for more than the smile-filled performance she gave. She arrived a little bit nervous, scanning the crowd for other girls from her class. She wasn't interested in being filmed while she waited and repeatedly told Brad to "stop!" Once she was on stage though, it was all business. She remembered the routine....even the twirl at the end. Brad and I were jazzed afterwards, confessing to each other that we thought our daughter was the best one up there....at least in our eyes.
We were also reminded of how great our friends are. Chris, Becca and Braden Maggio and Kayla Meyer all joined us on our blankets at the park to cheer on our little princess. They braved the heat, the crowd, the parking, and the cost to see Rory dance for 1 minute...and we feel loved. Thanks so much guys.
Here are some photos that Chris took. (Thanks for the great shots!)
Rory waiting in her costume. I was working the concession stand throughout the night so I got the report from Brad about her nerves. Her face does seem a bit tense.
And because Brad is a proud daddy with the computer know-how...a video. Enjoy!

Rory, papa is so proud of you. That was a beautiful performance. Sweetheart, you are a natural dancer, just like your PaPa, so keep working hard at your dancing class because you are so good. PaPa
