I am the flower girl's mom.

Cousin Jill married Ryan and they asked Rory to be the flower girl. She was absolutely wonderful. She smiled, walked carefully, threw her flowers nicely. She loved it and adored all the compliments she received as the "cutest flower girl we've ever seen."

Here is the couple practicing how to get married.
Rory with the ring bearer, Harrison.

Brad and his brother Mike both making an attempt to take a photo using the other one's usual facial expressions. (Neither of them told the other one the plan...creepy.)

Emme with the bride.

Rory and the bride.

Having successfully reached the pink jelly beans awaiting her at the end of her journey up the aisle, Rory was happy to sit through the ceremony and pose for some photos outside of the church. So happy that she engaged in some impromptu posing....America's Next Top Model?

Look at that face...how can I not take it as an incredible compliment when someone says, "She looks so much like you." They usually follow it with, "Where'd she get that great head of hair!?" Oh well.

By the time we picked up Emme from the sitter, and made it to the reception, she was tired and hungry. We fed her a crab cake while we waited for dinner, and kept her happy with sodas from the bar. By the time dinner, toasts, cake-cutting and the first dance were finished, both Rory and Emme were laying on our shoulders as we danced. Deciding our girls were ready for their own beds, we packed up and were saying goodbyes. Emme was offered a bite of wedding cake, turned her head away and started crying. She then vomited all over both of us as I held her.
This photo was taken prior to the incident.
Rory and Emme did most of their dancing during the cocktails and appetizers. Not a bad plan, since they had the dance floor to themselves.
