I've gone green...I don't think I'm doing it because it's trendy right now. Except for it's hard to escape the reality that I probably wouldn't be thinking about such things if I didn't see it almost everywhere I looked. Whatever the reason, I'm wondering how I can be a better steward of the world.
I look at things in a new way. I want a new brush...mine is old and getting dirty. Instead of throwing it away and picking up a new one at Wal-Mart I think, "It's just going to end up in a landfill somewhere taking up space. It's not like it's biodegradable. Maybe I should try to clean it up myself?"
I pass by all the cute summer items for kids and ask myself, "Do I really need these things? Do I want them because the girls will actually enjoy them, or because I think they're cute?"
I find myself standing in front of the environmentally-safe cleaning supplies for longer stretches of time. I even asked for a Lotus Sanitizing System for my birthday (http://www.tersano.com/lss-info.shtml).
I'm looking for ways to make a better impact on the earth...or at least lessening my negative impact.

Hey there! If you're into environmentally friendly cleaning products, check out Method products at Target if you haven't already. Countertop cleaner, laundry detergent, wood cleaner (my fav), handsoap, dishsoap--it's all there and it smells DELICIOUS and uses no harsh chemicals (they claim you could clean naked if you wanted to). ;)
