There she grows!

For those of you who don't get to see me on a regular basis...here's a couple photos of just how large my belly has gotten. These were taken probably during the second week of June.

Met my friend Sally for a pedicure after church today. We went to Salon de WalMart. Actually it's called Regal Nails, but it's a nail salon located within the Harrisonville WalMart Supercenter. Which means your view is of the check-out aisles, and your mood music is the binging of each item as it's barcode is scanned. All jokes aside...they know how to do it right. Massaging chairs with a whirpool for your feet. Really quick and thorough and good! My feet are the cleanest and smoothest they've been in weeks AND I have cute red toes to boot. All for $23. It's a deal. I've caught myself looking at my toes quite frequently since then...so great to have cute feet. I'm pretty sure I'll go back in mid-August to ensure cute toes for delivery of baby #2.

After the pedicures Sally wanted me to take her to our thrift stores. We headed on over to the HVille Goodwill store where Sally was even more amazed at the greatness of our town. She is a thrift store connoisseur (I checked the dictionary...that is how you spell it). She thinks our store is one of the best ones she's ever been in. After a good hour of shopping she left with a new pair of Columbia shorts, a tank top, pants, two Isaac Mizrahi plates, and some serving utensils that were still in their boxes. I got an Isaac Mizrahi throw pillow to put on Rory's big-girl bed since that transition is imminent.

I'm nesting. At my prompting, the full-size bed was moved into Rory's room where it can become more familiar to her until the big day. We're playing a game right now with Rory where every time she's on her bed she has to say, "Down please?" and then wait for us to say okay before she gets off the bed. The idea is that she'll be trained to know that she needs permission to leave the bed and that will help alleviate the battles of getting her to stay in her bed at nighttime, and when she wakes up before we do. (Thanks to the Voigts and BabyWise for that idea.) As soon as possible after we get back from camp in August we'll make the switch. I'll keep you posted.

Every unisex baby item we have was brought up from storage tonight. If this baby is a boy he'll have to live in onesies for the first couple weeks of his life. We literally have two outfits that are appropriate for a boy, and one of them is most definitely a summer outfit and subject to the weather conditions of a pending September birthdate. However, if it's a girl, oh how I cannot wait to get out those adorable outfits I used to put on Rory. I'd forgotten just how cute her clothes were when she was that tiny!

Craving chocolate tonight. That's a new one since I usually crave salty foods rather than sweet. I'm trying to trick my body by eating Kashi Organic Promise cereal which is a little sweet. It's definitely healthier than the brownie I'd rather be eating.
