I made manicotti

I tried to post an entry recently and it didn't work. I was super bummed (how valley-girl did that sound?) because it was about my recent adventures in the kitchen. I'll try to recapture the event for you now.

I made manicotti...and it tasted good! I mixed the ingredients, cooked the shells and then stuffed those shells. I baked it and served it and it was yummy!...and very messy. Either way, it was worth it. Brad was quite impressed with his bride. He couldn't stop complimenting the meal. I felt very accomplished. Funny how sometimes it's the little things...I graduated from a fine college, am married to a Godly man, have a beautiful and well-behaved daughter, with another one on the way...and manicotti makes me feel accomplished.

My tummy popped out about a week ago. For awhile I was still in my regular pants but was starting to have to suck in my tummy, and unbutton my pants when I sat for lengths of time. But last week that ended. The beer-belly has arrived. While this is the most fun time of pregnancy...past the sickness and with a cute little bump that reminds you of the growing little one...it's also hard because others don't always know if you're just showing off your beer gut from the college years. :) I always feel like people look at my belly and think, "Wow! She must have had a really big lunch!"

Brad leaves Wednesday for Assignment Training. He'll learn the ins and outs of his job this summer at Castaway Club. We'll be staying at a YL camp for the month of June while Brad works. Rory and I will play.
