So I borrowed a pregnancy pilates DVD from my friend Melissa. I love it because I don't sweat (which usually I like to do when I work out, but when you're sick, pregnant, and tired it's better not to sweat that much). Rory gets pretty bored by the end. Sometimes she will lie down next to me and "do pilates" also. Today however, she decided to lay on top of me instead. I just figured she added extra resisitance. Workouts have forever changed I guess. She was relieved when the t.v. went off. "Bye lady!" she said as I turned off the t.v.
This morning Brad took a friend of ours out to see the new Young Life building that's in the works. A very godly man in our community approached a couple of our committee members recently and said he'd been "watching" us. He has set aside 65 acres for us to use (this Wed. night is capture the flag with glowsticks), AND he's putting up a 30x35 building for us to use also. He's definitely a detail guy as there's a cute little porch on the front with hooks for us to "hang our sign." He's also built an amazing fire pit with huge rocks found on the land. And there's a lawn area out back with even more large rocks scattered for an outdoor "stage". It should be ready to use by the end of the month...any ideas on what to name it?
Here's something new I learned today. I volunteered at our church which is a host site for a non-profit organization called Angel Food Minitries. The short story is that each month Angel Food puts together a box of groceries which anyone can purchase for $25. This month's box: 5 lb chicken leg quarters / 4-6 oz pork chops / 3 lb chicken tenders / 8-4 oz breaded cubed beef patties / 15 oz meatball sub sandwiches / 2 lb boneless skinless chicken breast / 16 oz pillsbury garlic dinner rolls / 16 oz roasted corn and veggies / 2 lb french fries / 15 oz tomato sauce / 16 oz veggie blend / 7.5 oz mac and cheese / 7.5 oz pancake mix / 25 oz breakfast cereal / 32 oz shelf-stable milk / dozen eggs. ALL that for $25. They only use high-quality foods and brands. None of it is day-old, etc., only stuff you might see in your grocery store.
The great thing about this organization...anyone can utilize the service. There is no red tape, or approval procedures. Today as I took orders I saw an educator from the high school, a bank worker who brought in 5 orders from her office, people who used food stamps to pay, and members of our church...to name a few. It's an amazing opportunity for ANYONE to save money on their monthly grocery bill. Check out their website http://www.angelfoodministries.com/index.php to learn more and find the other host sites. It's really a great resource to know about. I think we're going to buy a box this month...just to see if it's too good to be true.
Busy day...

I might buy "no sweat" for being sick but I'm not sure about pregnant or tired. Was that from your Doctor's orders?
The new Young Life building and acreage sounds really neat. What a great friend for your local kids to have.
You're doing great baby!!!
Great job on the blog, Samantha! This is something that I have been considering doing myself! Congrats on the baby! I am so excited for you, Brad, and Rory! I look forward to reading all about the Anderson adventures!
