tears and boxes

We've moved into our apartment. We're still in the intense process of making it our home. I was up from 6 am Sunday morning until 6:15 am Monday morning. It was not fun. I saw the sun go down and come back up....which reminds me, we have an amazing view from here! We can see for miles and miles along the horizon. High points include a roller coaster at Worlds of Fun and the downtown KC skyline. It really is incredible. I'm kind of anxious for the 4th of July next summer.

Rory's friend Isaiah wanted a chance to say goodbye. While we were at his house he said to Brad, "I'm really going to miss you guys when you move." I'm very determined to be intentional in planning play dates for Rory and her friends back in Cass County. We have moved closer to Braden and Caedmon...Quin and Isaiah, we miss you lots!

For one week we were in between homes and yet again, the Bohannons took us in. We enjoyed quite a few dips in their pool.

She has the best damp hair look I've ever seen. I'm seriously contemplating following her around all day with a spray bottle.

One afternoon we tried to let Rory go without a nap. I went upstairs and left her watching a cartoon. When I came back down she was asleep. Brad moved her to the couch and she fell back asleep. She rarely does this...usually she goes as hard as she can until we lay her in bed. Brad soaked up the snuggle time.

I am so happy for you guys and this exciting new chapter in your lives!! I wish I could have helped with the move...but I'm pretty glad I was not awake for 24 hours. Not my bag, baby :)

And yes, she does have a great wet hair look. And dry hair. And messy hair and neat hair. I'm pretty sure she'd be cute with no hair.

LOVE.
