I just received a rather unsettling comment request from my blog site. Someone said that while it's obvious I am proud of my kids, I shouldn't trust EVERYONE on the internet, and since I've already mentioned where we'll be living/working next year I have made my girls an easy target with the partially naked photos I post of them.

Needless to say I have taken down all photos that are "naked" (except for photos of Emme in the hospital...I think newborn photos are benign, right?), and I've changed the security to only allow people to view the blog after I invite them.

I do hope I am being a responsible blogger...and more importantly, a smart mom. My intention was NEVER to put my kids in danger. I honestly never thought anyone would care about my blog unless they knew us personally...which makes me wonder.

If a friend of mine sent this comment anonymously...I would've preferred a personal conversation as opposed to an anonymous comment which has made my heart race, sent me into a slight panic trying to "clean up" my blog, and made me question the protection I provide for my daughters. I appreciate the warning and I know it was given with the best of intentions, but if it was from a friend, I'm sad they didn't feel they could tell me in person.

I should stop...I feel tears coming on.

Sam. We love your blog and look forward to checking it out frequently. I never saw anything un-safe but I guess you can't be too careful these days. Looks like you are getting it covered OK now.
