Rory had an appointment with a pediatric ophthalmologist today. At her 3 year visit, the pediatrician measured her eyes to check for nearsightedness, etc. It appeared she might have an astigmatism in each eye that needed attention. Turns out it's so minor that it won't require glasses at this point. There's a chance she'll need them in the future, or the situation could correct itself as she grows.
I am continually impressed with Rory's ability to sit still during doctor visits. In the past month we've seen the dentist, pediatrician, ophthalmologist...and even a hairdresser. Each time I try to prepare myself for the energetic Rory to have trouble sitting still...and each time she proves she's much more well-behaved than I give her credit for.
