You know how you take a nap and sleep so hard that when you wake up you actually forget what day it is and where you are? Well I have that feeling, but haven't actually taken a nap.

We just got done with a whirlwind of a week. After running the Trolley Run on Sunday I spent the entire week preparing for our garage sale this past weekend. (The only reason the Trolly Run has any bearing on this topic is that I could barely move for a few days afterward, which made lugging items up from our basement a little more difficult.) Garage sales are a lot of work! I was completely ignorant of the amount of time and energy required. Thank goodness my mom was aware and offered to come stay with us to help me with the sale and the girls.

Life was hectic, messy, cluttered, unscheduled, late and early these last few days. Tonight I'm sitting in a still messy house, Rory is yelling from her bed which is now an air mattress since we sold her bed in the sale, the ants are back in the bathtub (we thought we'd gotten rid of them), the grass outside is so high Rory can barely walk through it and I really need to do laundry. My mind is quickly flipping through all the "must dos" and "to get ready fors" and "really need to dos" and "help Brad to remember to dos." I really feel like I just woke up from a week-long nap where I did nothing but think about the garage sale...now I'm trying to remember what my name is, where I am, and what's going on.

In the midst of the craziness we had our annual Crud Wars event for YL. A big food fight...only more disgusting. Rory came this year and had a great time playing with the huge tubs of flour. She got quite nervous though when the kids walked too close to her once they were all dirty. At one point they threw marshmallows dipped in ketchup and mustard at each other and when Brad came over to us Rory said, "Ewww! Daddy, you smell like a hot dog! Go away!"

Rory spent a lot of time on the microphone yelling to the kids, "Hey everybody!" You can see she's already covered in flour.

Believe it or not, this is actually a before photo...before the mud pit and pond.

Notice Rory in the lower right hand corner of the group photo doing exactly what her daddy does.
