From the book, From Bondage to Liberty: Dance, Children, Dance (the story of Young Life's founder, Jim Rayburn).

"The Lord Jesus was never cross, He was never surprised by people's evil ways. Only two things ever surprised Jesus. A young fellow from a pagan country really trusted Him. He had a servant, desperately ill, and he came to Jesus and mentioned this fact. Jesus decided to go to his house, remember? The young officer of the Roman army said, " No, don't come down to my house, and he gave two of the most amazing reasons you ever heard. He said first of all, "I'm not even worthy that you should come under my roof," and second, "You don't need to. You can take care of the healing by remote control, You're in charge of life; you run the whole business." I don't know how that Roman officer knew that. I'm sure he didn't find it out in Rome. He was an officer in the occupying army, yet he knew it. And Jesus was astonished! He hadn't seen faith like that anywhere, even among His own people. On another occasion he was astonished that the people didn't believe. After all the works He did, after all the evidence was in, they still didn't believe. Remember that! Unbelief and belief are the two most astonishing things in the world."

Today will I astonish Him with my belief?
