kick my own butt

I have had two kids in 2 1/2 years. I'm tired of my clothes not fitting the way they used to. I'm tired of "looking good for having had two kids." I'm tired of the belly that hangs over my jeans when I sit down. I'm tired of the overall softness of everything. I'm tired of getting tired when I dance with Rory to her new Bella Dancerella video.

I'm only 28. I haven't peaked yet have I? It's time to reclaim my body.

I'm officially in training for the Trolley Run in April 2007. I ran it twice in college and think it's high time I made it a goal again. Melissa, my original running partner, is joining the ranks.

Brad went today to sign us up as members of the Harrisonville Community Center and I have my MP3 player all ready to go for tomorrow. Anybody got any good songs to inspire me while I'm kicking my own butt?

Oh, come on, overall softness has its appeal (hee hee!)....good luck with the New Year's trim down and Trolley Run training. Having a good girlfriend to do it all with makes it all more bearable. I highly recommend "Simply the Best" by Tina Turner as a must-have while working out and comparing yourself to all those spandex-clad-haven't-had-any-children-cuties at the gym.

Keep these great posts coming!!
