BFF

I was pretty tired as I put Rory to bed last night so when she asked me to lay down with her I was happy to rest for a while. She quickly requested that I rub her back and as she laid there she said, "Let's close our eyes." With her eyes closed tightly I couldn't help but sneak a peak at her round little face. While I was staring at her she opened her eyes and whispered, "We're best friends."

Often when I want Rory to really hear me say how much I love her, I will start with, "Hey, do you know what?" Rory's eyes then meet mine and I'll tell her something like, "I love you so much." This morning when I went in to get her out of bed she looked at me and said, "Do you know what? We're best friends."
