A very sleepy Rory Grace arrived home from Colorado last night after 11 pm. She was sound asleep in the car so when my mom brought her through the front door she was basically still out of it. Seconds after he saw her, Brad had her in his arms. She looked at Brad and then at me for a very long time and I watched as tears filled her eyes. I think she thought it was all a dream and that she really wasn't with her mom and dad. After quite a bit of snuggle time from both parents, she was more awake and told us all about her Colorado adventures. After a few stories she stood up on the couch next to me, raised her arms up in the air and said, "I'm home!" She hasn't let Brad or I leave her sight for very long since last night. She is much happier when the three of us remain in the same general area together. We missed her very much. Things feel right again now that our family is reunited.
She has changed so much in just two weeks. Within the first 10 minutes of chatting with her I could tell that her ability to put words together to form sentences has developed even more. I am marveling at her new communication skills. It's crazy to look back at her scrapbook and realize that a person can change so drastically in such a short amount of time. She's turning into a little girl...no longer our baby girl. Who am I kidding...she'll always be our baby girl.
