The top picture is Rory's rendition of the "Friendship Revolution" sign (part of program at camp).
Picture #2 is Rory showing just how useless a swimming suit can be...if you really want to get in the water.
#3 is our bathing beauty. Aaawwwww.

You've got mail Rory Anderson! Rory got a great package today from her friends Caedmon and Zeke Voigt. (I think their mommy should get some credit also since she had to drive them to the post office to mail it.) CK and Zeke-Rory says thanks for the cool toy. She's already used it and says it is "super fun." She can't wait to wear her "Birthday Girl" pin around camp on Saturday. I, on the other hand, am living vicariously through the lives of celebrities while I read my US and People magazines.

Last night was exciting for Brad...his first emergency room visit with a camper. A kid ran into a wall while playing a competitive game of Four Square. 800 mg of Ibuprofen and 1000 mg of Tylenol later, his shoulder was still hurting pretty bad. That's when the camp nurse gave the go ahead for a hospital run. Brad was given the honors, and was most excited about the possibility of a late night Taco Bell run on the way home. Good news, the camper is fine. Got a sling but no presciption meds...not really a great story to come back to his cabin with. Bad news, there is not a Taco Bell to be found in Detroit Lakes, so Brad convinced his friend Brad Voigt (the camper's leader) to buy the three of them McDonald's.

I have been lax on the prayer request end of things. Sometimes, since I can't always get to club to hear the talks, I forget that we're actually presenting the gospel to these kids each week. It's easy to feel very separated from the spiritual battle that is fought for these kids' hearts. Please be praying for our campers this week as they heard the sin talk this morning and will be introduced to what Christ did on the cross tomorrow night. Please also pray for leaders to have great conversations with kids throughout these next three days. We want to win kids for Christ. That's why we're here.

Pray also for the Work Crew (high school age volunteers) and Summer Staff (college age volunteers) who are working to make this camp run for the entire month. They keep those kids busy each day. Assigned Team are YL staff members from all over (like Brad) who are also here for the month filling important roles. Some have brought families with them and they're trying to balance work and staying connected. And there's still YL business back home that needs to get done even though they're states away from their offices. Also, Interns have summer-long positions and need prayer for stamina.

On the pregnancy front, I'm growing every day. I should put a picture of myself on here so it's not so shocking for everyone when I come back home a month bigger. Baby #2 is kicking up a storm. This morning I woke up with some pretty sore hips. I moved a little slower today. I remember this phase with Rory, not pleasant...had to sleep on the couch because I couldn't get comfortable in bed and the pain woke me up throughout the night. We'll see how it goes. The rest of our housemates might wake up to find Brad and I on the couches in the living room one morning. Sometimes walking across the camp gives me contraction-like pain in my belly. Maybe Braxton Hicks but I never had those with Rory so I'm not for sure. I wonder if walking around here later on in the summer with my YL and WL campers will actually make me go into full-blown labor? That'd be a story huh? :)
